Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps in action!

Paige and I had so much fun making cookies and using the new Sweet Pressed Cookie Snowflake Stamp by Stampin'Up! last weekend!  They are so easy to use, even my 5 year old can do it!  You start by simply mixing up sugar cookies and popping them in the fridge for an hour to cool.  Then I used the medium scoop (approximately 2 tablespoons) and dropped the dough into some flour and rolled into a ball.  Next I placed them on the cookie sheet a few inches apart and let Paige do some cookie stamping!

I really wanted to make these cookies pop, so I found blue sprinkles at the grocery store and WOW! They look and tasted awesome!

There are 2 other interchangeable stamping pieces, a heart and pumpkin face!  More designs will be available in the Occasions Mini Catalog in January.

Happy Stamping to you!

SU Stars Blog Hop ~ Gift Giving Ideas

Hello and welcome to the SU Stars Blog Hop!  You have arrived here from Denise Foor's blog:http://denisefoor.blogspot.com/2011/11/gift-giving-idea-blog-hop.html

Hi Ladies and welcome to the SU Stars Blog Hop this month featuring Gift Giving Ideas!  I know that wine is a popular gift to give when attending parties, so I came up with an idea for a wine bottle tag ;)
I started out with Cherry Cobbler cardstock and ran the Holiday Stocking Bigz L Die thru my Big Shot. I cut 2 of these and used Whisper White for the cuff at the top of the stocking.  I scored just underneath the cuff on the front stocking so it lifts easily for writing/reading the note inside.  I used a piece of Crumb Cake thru the Big Shot with the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder and sponged it with Chocolate Chip ink.  I scored it and punched the top half with the Scallop Circle punch.  I then adheared the Winter Wishes holly leaf and berry stitched felt on with a few glue dots.  Now you can personalize it with a note of gratitude ;)

Hope you enjoy the hop!

Turkey Nugget Boxes

Hello crafty friends!  Today I want to share with you my adorable Turkey Nugget Boxes!  I sold a ton of these at the local craft fairs, people loved them!

Here's what I did:
-I rolled my Sizzix XL Matchbox die thru the Big Shot with Crumb Cake cardstock and assembled the box.
-Next I sponged all around it with Chocolate Chip Ink.
-Then I punched Pumpkin Pie cardstock with the Modern Label punch.
-I took out my Gift Givers stamp set and stamped the turkey stamp with Black Stazon and punched him out with the Curly label punch.  I colored him in with Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip and More Mustand using a Blender Pen.
-I stamped the "Give Thanks" in Cajun Craze, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and More Mustard from It's a Wrap Holidays stamp set onto Avery labels and wrapped them around the chocolate nugget candy.
-Lastly I cut a 1" strip of our Spice Cake fabric and tied it into a bow around the matchbox.

You can easily make these yourself!
Have a great day!

Countdown to Halloween ~ Day 4 Scrapbook Layout

Good evening! It has been a crazy day around here! I don't have my computer with me, so I am doing the best I can to keep working on my blog for the 10 Day Countdown to Halloween!
So I found some pictures of a Halloween scrapbook layout that I made 3 years ago.  Some of the elements have changed in the Stampin'Up! catalog since then, but many of them are still the same!  Here's how I made Frankie:
Old Olive Top Note; Basic Grey Round Tab punch for the "ears"; not sure of the circle punch size for the hair, guessing 1-3/8" Circle punch in Going Grey (retired color) I used my small paper snips scissors to freehand his bangs; Whisper White 3/4" circle punch (2) , Going Grey 1/2" circle punch (2), Old Olive 3/4" circle punch (1 cut in half and raised with a dimensional), then I free handed a grumpy smiley with my Basic Black marker.

On the other page I used the Big Shot Scallop Circle Die #113468 to make the "hills" in the graveyard. The tag I used for the tombstones is retired.  I used the tree stamp from Season of Friendship #111776.  I also sponged the "hills" with Silver Encore ink that Stampin'Up! used to sell. The bats in this project are retired, but we do have some other Halloween sets that you can get something similar in, they are Spooky Bingo Bits, and Wicked Cool in the Idea Book & Catalog, the annual catalog or in the Holiday Mini Catalog there are a few sets that would work out nice as well.  They are Howl-o-ween Creeps or Out on a Limb.
Hope that has been helpful in figuring out what I used!  Have a great weekend and I will hopefully post Day 5 before midnight tomorrow!

Countdown to Halloween ~ Day 3 Halloween Treat Box

Today I want to share with you a quick and easy Halloween Treat Box that you can make in less than 10 minutes! Here's what I did:  I cut 1 sheet of 12 x 12 DSP from the Pick Your Poison paper pack in half at 6" and then rolled it thru my Big Shot with the Box #2 Die.  I folded the box together and tied a Basic Black Satin ribbon around it. Then I stamped the Happy Halloween stamp from the Gift Givers stamp set in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I stamped it with Black Stazon and then used a Blender pen to color in the pumpkins with More Mustard and Pumpkin Pie ink. I colored the stems in with my Chocolate Chip marker and dotted the crows eyes with my White Gel Pen.  Next I used the Decorative Label punch, that coordinates with this stamp to punch it out.  I punched another one in Pumpkin Pie and stuck it on the back of the other piece. Lastly I placed one of the Rhinestone Jewels on my box.

Hope you enjoy my post today!

Pick Your Poison Halloween MDS scrapbook page

Welcome to the SU Stars Scrappin' Blog Hop!  If you are just starting the hop make sure you go back and check out Connie Smith's blog at: www.highdesertstamper.com to see what wonderful projects she has created for the hop!  There are 20 blogs for this all weekend hop, so sit back, relax and enjoy!

I haven't scrapbooked anything in a while, so the challenge this month of scrapbooking something was well overdue!  Halloween is sneaking up on us and before you know it all of those little trick or treaters will be at our doors wanting candy!  I decided to used my Stampin'Up! My Digital Studio to create this page.  The background paper is from the Pick Your Poison Designer Series Paper download.  The flourish you see behind some of the photos is from Baroque Motifs and the little spider hanging from the journaling box is from the Eat, Drink and Be Scary download.

What I really love about using MDS is that you can move your different elements around without cutting paper and decide what layout you like best.  I hope you enjoyed my scrapbook page!

Next on the SU Stars Scrappin' Blog Hop is Jackie Watson's blog http://jackielwatson.blogspot.com .  I am sure she created something really special to share with you as well!

Have a great weekend!

Berry Blossoms ~Thank you so, so much card

You will have to forgive my long absense of not posting.  I have been so sick over the Labor Day weekend and am just now feeling human again!  My poor husband took wonderful care of the kids and I thought of him when I made this card I am sharing with you now.
I cut the flower pieces out on my Fun Flowers Bigz L Die with the Big Shot die cutting machine.  I then crumpled them up into a ball and repeated until the fibers in the paper were broke down enough that I could separate the flower piece into 2 separate layers. This technique is called faux suede when you have the raw, inside part of the flower exposed.  I mounted the layers together with dimensionals and I think it turned out great!  I really like the Berry Blossoms DSP and hope to share more projects made with it soon!

Products I used:
122350 Berry Blossoms Designer Series Paper
122652 Delightful Dozen stamp set
121045 Basic Black Cardstock

Back in Business?

The summer storms have not been kind to my house.  We had a great vacation to Disney World in June and came home to storms and a flooded basement! My stamping room is the "blue room" in the basement.  After everything dried out the carpet has to be replaced in the blue room so hubby told me to set up shop in the rest of the basement! I was pleasantly SHOCKED that he would give me this option, I think he just wants his garage and dining room back, that's where everything from the basement went after the flood damage.
Punch rails are the only thing left in the room.
Picture of my Stamp Room after they vaccumed some of the water out of it.

Part of my stash in the main room of the basement.  It was not
flooded all the way like my room was.

My cubes and more in the garage.

My desk, bookshelf and cabinet.
My reorganization in the basement so far.  It has been alot of work and I will post more pictures soon.

Have a great day!

Recess! School is almost out and it is time to play!

School is almost out for the Summer Break and I am excited to share one of the teachers gifts I made up for Tommy's Speech teacher! When we moved from Colorado last Summer I was really worried about Tommy starting at a new school. But I was so excited when I found out that a previous customer and friend would be his Speech Therapist at school! What a blessing she has been to our family this school year! I am just praying that she will be at our school next year to continue working with Tommy and his little sister Paige who is starting Kindergarten! Hmm... what will I be doing alot more of this Fall? Stamping of course!

So I created this fun little scene using the new stamp set Recess from the Summer Mini Catalog! I really love all the techniques you can do with the brayer! It is especially fun to create landscapes and backgrounds to stamp on!  On this card I brayered the background with Marina Mist in the sky and Garden Green for the ground.  I took the tree from the Nature Silhouettes stamp set in the big Stampin'Up! catalog.  I chose the sentiment from Full of Life, also found in the Big Cattie ;)  Other products I used:
  • 119882  Scallop Edge border punch
  • 120906  2 1/2" Circle punch
  • Whisper White Cardstock
  • Real Red CS, ink pad, marker
  • Marina Mist CS, ink pad
  • Chocolate Chip CS, ink pad, marker
  • Daffodil Delight CS, ink pad, marker
  • Blender pen
  • Brayer
The next Teachers Gift I made was this Notebook Tin on the left.  I really love the sentiment that I stamped from the Word Play stamp set, "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams"! Love that! I used Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper, Baja Breeze cardstock and ink to decorate this tin, along with the coordinating stamp set Friends Never Fade, found in the Big Catalog.
On the inside of the Notebook Tin is a notepad, pen and storage for little notes, coupons, postage stamps, etc.  I really love how this project turned out.
Last but certainly not least is the adorable hand santizer I made! I used a retired stamp set for the A+ and the apples stamped across the bottom.  I used the following supplies:
  • Real Red cardstock, ink pad, marker
  • Garden Green cardstock, ink pad, marker
  • Whisper White cardstock
  • 119275  Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch
  • 119861 1-1/4" Circle punch
  • 119860  1-3/8" Circle punch
