It's that time of year again... Craft Fair Season!!!

This year I had a booth at the OFallon Township High School Band Boosters Craft Fair.  I was so excited that I got into the show that I have been working like a dog... ha ha, I made dog treat tins with a little help from my 4 year old daughter, Paige. She lined up the bones in the tins for me. She is a great helper!

I used the D is for Dog stamp set on the Doggie Treat Tins.

On the reindeer poop bags I used the a retired Big Shot die for the antlers, and circle punches for eyes and noses, and the Top Note Die from the Big Shot for the head.

The Perfect Man bags are always a HOT item to give to your girlfriends who really need to find one!

One of my favorite items I made was the Candy Bar Wrappers. I used the Leaves #2 Die #113459 from the Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper Textured Embossing folder #120175, the Falling Leaves stampset #115368, Hemp Twine #100982, the 3/4" Circle punch #119873 and the Designer Series paper is retired, that is how I save money making goodies at the Craft Fairs!

I made a variety of Matchbox Teabag Holders including Christmas, Congrats and Get Well.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing some of the goodies I had at the Craft Fair!  I am working on a few new things for another Craft Fair in two weeks! Have a great day!

From the Crypt Brayered Card and Spooky Candy Wrappers

From the Crypt Brayered Card and Spooky Candy Wrappers
I had alot of fun creating this brayered card! I started out with a 4 3/4" Square piece of Whisper White, punched out my circle and brayered over it (masking technique).  Next I stamped the trees in the background and masked then sponged the hills in.  I put this thru my Big Shot tucked in the new Spider web embossing folder and sanded the top of the embossed spider web, popping the white for the web. Next I stamped the spider from, From the Crypt stamp set, and went back and colored it in.

Supplies:

115026 Lovely as a Tree stamp set $27.95

115460 From the Crypt $22.95

100730 Whisper White card stock $8.50

102395 Brayer $12.50

119850 1 ¾ Circle punch $16.95

105216 Pumpkin Pie ink pad $5.95

111834 Tangerine Tango Ink Pad $5.95

101179 Basic Black Ink Pad $5.95

120889 Spider web embossing folder $7.95
103301 Sanding Blocks $3.50

100082 Basic Black Marker 3.50

121045 Basic Black cardstock $6.95

The Spooky Candy Wrappers were fun to play around with.  I had tried a few different things and this is what I came up with.  I started out with an 8 1/2 x 11" piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock.  I cut it at 5 1/2" on the long side, giving me two pieces to run thru the Big Shot with the Candy Wrapper Bigz Die. After I ran them thru, I embossed one with the Perfect Polka Dot folder, the other with the Spider Web folder.  I scored the creases and rubbed the embossed parts with my Basic Black ink pad.  I assembled it and embellished one with a So Saffron Circle and Bitty Bat in Black, the other with the Spider from, From the Crypt and a Black circle behind it.

105117 Pumpkin Pie card stock $6.95

120890 Candy Wrapper Bigz Die $32.95

120889 Spider web embossing folder $7.95

101179 Basic Black Ink pad $5.95

115460 From the Crypt $22.95

117335 Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder $7.95

101179 Basic Black Ink pad $5.95

119860 1 3/8 Circle punch $15.95

119279 Bitty Bat punch $15.95
I hope you enjoy my spooky treats I made!

Apple Blossoms Thank You card

A few weeks ago one of my new neighbors brought over a delicious plate of chocolate chip cookies to welcome us to the neighborhood. I was still head deep in boxes and put off making her a thank you card for a few days because I didn't have my stamp room set up. Well, this only made me want to get in there and make that thank you card even more! So being only knee deep in boxes I pulled out one of my new stamp sets from the NEW Stampin' Up! catalog and this is what I came up with!
I started out with a new Level 2 Hostess stamp set called Apple Blossoms and the new Cherry Cobbler cardstock where I stamped the beautiful little branches on the background of the card. I got out my Crumb Cake, formerly known as Kraft cardstock and started stamping this cute little flower on it. I really like this stamp set, it has a lot of versatile little elements, two different sized flowers, circles, leafy branch, stem with leaves and a cute apple that I didn't use here, but will use very soon!
Here's what I used:
119685 Cherry Cobbler cardstock
120953 Crumb Cake cardstock
119669 Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink
121030 Crumb Cake Classic Ink
119859 Oval-Extra Large punch
119849 Modern Label - Extra Large punch
118772 Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz
If you see something on this list that you can't live without or simply want, then click on my Order Here button on the side or contact me to place an order.

Here is a little peek of the inside of the card, I stamped the stem and flowers but forgot to snap a picture before I wrote in it! I will try not to forget next time ;)
Hope your day is great!

2 new cards

The first card I made this morning is for my mom. I love the Rich Razzleberry color and it is carrying over to the new catalog in July. The stamp set Messages for Mom is returning as well. The flowers were made with the butterfly punch and the embossing folder I used is a new one called Vintage Wallpaper.

The second card is made with a new stamp set in the Summer Mini called: Elements of Style 118611. I used the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder again on this card, but rubbed my chocolate chip ink pad all over the inside of the embossing folder before I ran it thru the Big Shot. Hope you enjoy my cards today. If you want to purchase anything you see, please go to my website or contact me.

One Sheet Wonder cards

My first attempt at a One Sheet Wonder class is what you see on my blog today. I did actually make a few more cards, but apparently you can only put 4 pictures at a time on here. I had alot of fun creating these cards as I went along.

This first "hello" card has a Kraft base stamped with the branch from Tropical Party from the Summer Mini catalog. The DSP is Island Oasis and the flower is a Bigz die called Island Floral. The "hello" is from the Hello Again stamp set in the big catalog.

The next card I call "tranquility" because thats what it looks like to me ;)

I used Whisper White for the card base. Tropical party stamp set from the Summer Mini and the new Square Lattice textured impressions embossing folder, it has a paper towel kind of texture. I think it looks good with any kind of card.

Card #3 is a beachy scene. Card base is Tempting Turquiose, Top Note is cut in Kraft paper, Circle sun is punched in So Saffron and sponged with Pumpkin Pie. To get the hilly sand effect, I torn a piece of paper and sponged, then turned it a little crookedly back and forth until I liked how it looked. The sentiment came from Great Friend in the big catalog. I stamped the palm trees from Tropical Party with Basic Black ink and stamped off on another sheet to make the shadows.

On card #4 I stamped the rose from Fifth Avenue Floral in Rose Red on Pumpkin Pie cardstock and used a blender pen and Rose Red ink to put in the shadows. The sentiment also comes from the same stamp set.

I hope to share more with you tomorrow after I get some of the other cards photographed.
Enjoy your weekend and come again,
Charlotte

Happy Anniversary Card

I have held out posting this picture now for over a week. The card on the right is my parents anniversary card and I didn't want my mom to see it until it came in the mail. Well, the surprise is inside the card for the recipients.
This is another brayered card that I made. I used the Upsy Daisy stamp set from the catalog.
Enjoy and Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!

My mom's cocoa packets

If you look at the previous post you will see where I think my mom got her inspiration for these adorable cocoa packets for her coworkers Easter gifts. I really love these! She said she picked up the cocoa from Michaels. I love it! Great job Mom!

Chocolate bunny swap

I was very fortunate to be a part of my upline's quarterly WOW swap. We exchanged 18 cards and this was my card. Once I started making them I realized I did WAY too much work on this, but I couldn't figure out what to go without. My dear friend Rhonda helped me piece together these cards to help me get them in the mail on time.
Here's what I did:
Stamped the bowtie from Just Jawing with Crushed Curry ink on Whisper White cardstock. Stamped the Chocolate Bunny stamp on Close to Cocoa CS with Chocolate Chip Craft Ink, clear embossed it and cut it out. I used the white gel pen to dot on the eye. I cut Top Notes in Whisper White and Crushed Curry. I stamped the grass from Inspired by Nature, on the white Top Note with Old Olive Craft Ink, clear embossed it and brayered Bashful Blue over the grass and masked the sun in the background. I used the polka dot folder on Mambo Melon and put that piece under the Top Note. I stamped the Bella Toile background stamp on Close to Cocoa card base with Chocolate Chip Craft ink and clear embossed it. The butterflies came from the new Stampin' Up Embosslits Die called Beautiful Wings. The eggs came from the Build A Bear Sizzlits Die Beary Hoppy. Other products used: Scalloped Oval Punch, Oval Punch, Mambo Melon Ribbon.

Panda Sweetie

I was at World Market shopping the other day and my friend said she should make a panda box to put some of the cool candies you can find in there into. Well, naughty me thought I am going to make one too! My son's teacher LOVES panda bears, so that was my big incentive.
I started out cutting 2 Whisper White circles with the Clear Circle Big Shot die. The ears are Basic Black cut with the 1 3/4" Circle punch. I also used this punch on the black portion of the eyes, the front paws and the eyebrows. For the inside of the ears I used the 1 3/8" Circle punch and Pretty In Pink paper. For the rest of the eyes I used the 1", 3/4" and 1/2" Circle punches. I also used the 1" Circle punch for the mouth. For the arms and back feet I used the Wide Oval punch. The hearts on the paw and feet came from the Heart to Heart punch, along with the 1/2" Circle punch for the paw. The heart on the nose came from the Occasion mini catalog, it is called Small Heart punch.
The body is supported behind the white belly by a black Top Note cut using the Big Shot. I used the rounded corners to line up the arms and legs of the bear. Last, but not least I used the White gel pen to dot the little eyes.
I hope this helps you make a cute little bear of your own.

Saturday, January 23, 2010

Last Monday night I went to my upline's group meeting at IHOP and we exchanged some really wonderful swaps! To the left is mine. It was inspired by a scrapbook page in the new Occasions Mini catalog on pg. 12. I liked the scrapbook page but wanted to turn it into a card and I really like how it turned out.

Here's what I used:
Stamps: With All My Heart stamp set
Paper: Sending Love Specialty DSP, Real Red, Pretty In Pink, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla cardstock
Ink: Pretty In Pink, Real Red, Chocolate Chip

Accessories: Punches- Extra Large Fancy Flower, Trio Flower, Modern Label and 1 1/4" Circle punch.
Here are a few of the other projects done by some of my friends. I wanted to share them with you as well.
