Up, Up and Away with Cloudy Day Birthday Card

Today's card is a bright, cheery birthday card that I made for a Birthday Card Stamp Camp that never happened.  I was sick all week and had to cancel the class so I used some of the prepped cards for projects at my Stamp Club in February instead! Oops... I am busted, they weren't supposed to know!

So let me tell you what supplies I used on this lovely Happy Birthday card.
8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Marina Mist Cardstock, scored at 4 1/4
5 1/4 x 4 Whisper White Cardstock with sentiment stamped in bottom right corner.  I used 4 markers to color the stamp starting with Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade and Marina Mist. These colors coordinate with the piece of DSP I used on my card.
1 1/2 x 5 Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series paper (126922), with a flag cut snipped in the bottom of it
3 x 3 1/2 Whisper White Cardstock for cutting out Label Framelit, then run again thru Big Shot with the Cloudy Day Embossing Folder (127022), then used my Sponge Dauber (102892) dabbed in Marina Mist inkpad (126962) working gently over the embossed clouds and sponged around the edges of the Label shape.
I colored the basket stamp in with my Chocolate Chip Marker and stamped one, then the other making sure there was enough room between them so the two ballons did not touch.
Scrap Whisper White Cardstock for stamping the two hot air ballons in Melon Mambo and Lucky Limeade and cut them out, finally I put a dimensional under each hot air ballon and placed them over the baskets.

I hope you enjoyed my card for today! I love to share them with you :)

How to Make Clouds technique video

What a beautiful weekend we are having here in the St. Louis area.  It is chilly but the sun is shining! Today I am sharing with you a card I made with the Need for Speed stamp set from Stampin'Up! The sentiment came from Up, up and Away.  I used the 1 - 1/4 Scallop Circle punch for the clouds along with a sponge dauber.
Whisper White cardstock 3-1/4 x 3-3/4
Cherry Cobbler cardstock 3-1/2 x 4
Island Indigo cardbase 8-1/2 x 5-1/2, scored at 4-1/4

All of the items I used are available at my online store: www.cmhollingsworth.stampinup.net

Also I just posted a video of me making this card on YouTube. Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6K1ZyCwlBWM&feature=youtube_gdata

Hope you enjoy the video! I love making them for you :)

Woohoo! Digital Scrapbooking with MDS 2

My Digital Studio 2 page
Wow, it is shameful that I am just now using some of the first My Digital Studio downloads I purchased 2 years ago!  I really loved the Sweet Stitches products from Stampin'Up! and was sad when they didn't carry over to the annual catalog, but I was elated when I found out I could purchase them digitally and use them whenever I wanted to.
So over Thanksgiving and Christmas I spend alot of time crafting, not with stamps, paper & ink, but with this delicious ruffle yarn that had become such a craze!  I have made, given, sold over 30 of these scarves and have a pretty large stash of yarn yet to use.  I finally realized after I didn't receive many Christmas cards... because I never sent mine out, that it was time to put down the crochet hook and yarn and get back to doing what I really love, stamping!  But, I do have a scarf to match everything in my closet!
So here's what I used to create this sweet scrapbooking page:
Sweet Stitches DSP download 122170
Creatively Yours stamp set download
Flag punch
Frame from Labels & Tags punch
Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch

I really hope you a great day and take the time to make something special.
