Happy Valentines Day! a little late but worth it...

My week has been a bit crazy... my hubby had been TDY all week and my DS Tommy was sick with Pink Eye and missed school on Monday & Tuesday. So I got off to a really late start making some goodies for his Kindergarten teacher's gifts at the Valentine party on Thursday. I used a cute little mailbox, found at the Target Dollar Spot for $1. I used some new Stampin' Up Raspberry Tart designer series paper because it is so pretty and Tommy's teacher loves green!

For cardstock on the front of the mailbox I used Rose Red and Kiwi Kiss w/ Whisper White. The tic tac toe image came from the "A Happy Heart" stamp set. The heart on the side of the mail box came from the "Love You Much" stamp set. The pair of birds on one of the cards below also belongs to this set. The #1 on the flag is from "Sporting" stamp set. Tommy thinks his teacher is #1, so I had to incorporate that in my design ;)
All the cards featured are 3x3's. Two are cut in Kiwi Kiss and the other is Cameo Coral. I used Versa Mark and Stampin' Pastels on the flower on the Cameo Coral card along with Raspberry Tart DSP. I think they turned out beautifully. Hope you had a nice Valentine's Day! My sweetheart bought me a purple ipod. I plan to use it alot to keep me moving in my Stamp room.

Sale A Bration online swap card

This is my 1st completed Sale A Bration swap card. I am a member of an online group and I wanted to participate in this swap in particular because I am planning a big event and need ideas besides my own. I really love Riding Hood Red cardstock and Elegant Eggplant, so I put them together and I think this is really a WOW kind of card. I used Versamark on the Polka Dot background stamp on the Riding Hood Red card stock. I think ran my Scallop #2 die thru the Big Shot with Brushed Silver paper. I used two Sale A Bration stamp sets, Polka Dot Punches and Congrats. I stamped the heart image from the Polka Dot Punches stamp set with Versamark, then embossed with silver powder. I punched out the hearts with the new Full Heart punch. I popped those up with dimensionals. Then I stamped the Congratulations and other sentiment from the Congrats stamp set. I also used the Ticket Corner punch on the polka dotted piece and the Photo Corner punch to make the "V" shaped end of the banner.

It took me a while to come up with the whole idea, but once I did, finishing out the 30+ card fronts for the swap wasn't too bad.

Valentine Treat Holders

I got together with a couple of friends today and made these adorable little candy holders! I started out with the Sizzix Petal Card Die and cut 2 in Pink Pirouette and 2 in Riding Hood Red. I folded 2 of the petals to the inside to make a heart and then red sticky taped them together on the inside to form a pocket.

On the Pink Pirouette treat holder I used the Tres Chic background stamp with Close to Cocoa ink. The hearts are sizzlets 4-pack dies, the Hearts set of course. I used some paper from the Candy Lane DSP pack and popped those up with dimensionals. Finally I tied some of the Whisper White Taffeta ribbon around one of the sizzlet hearts and looped it thru a Filigree Designer Brad and tied it off.

On the Riding Hood Red version I stamped the Baroque Motifs large stamp with Versa Mark and then poured on the Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and set it with the Heat Tool. I then cut out a small scallop circle with the Sizzix Scallop Circle #2 die, in Kraft paper. I put it faced down on my Versa Mark pad and the put Iridescent Ice on it and set with the Heat Tool again. I used my Crop-A-Dile to punch the holes in the scallops. The heart stamp is from A Happy Heart stamp set. I stamped Riding Hood Red ink on Whisper White Cardstock, then cut it out. The {Feb. 14} stamp is from the same stamp set.
I hope you enjoyed my projects for the day! Questions? Comments? I'd love to hear them.
