I got together with a couple of friends today and made these adorable little candy holders! I started out with the Sizzix Petal Card Die and cut 2 in Pink Pirouette and 2 in Riding Hood Red. I folded 2 of the petals to the inside to make a heart and then red sticky taped them together on the inside to form a pocket.
On the Pink Pirouette treat holder I used the Tres Chic background stamp with Close to Cocoa ink. The hearts are sizzlets 4-pack dies, the Hearts set of course. I used some paper from the Candy Lane DSP pack and popped those up with dimensionals. Finally I tied some of the Whisper White Taffeta ribbon around one of the sizzlet hearts and looped it thru a Filigree Designer Brad and tied it off.
On the Riding Hood Red version I stamped the Baroque Motifs large stamp with Versa Mark and then poured on the Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and set it with the Heat Tool. I then cut out a small scallop circle with the Sizzix Scallop Circle #2 die, in Kraft paper. I put it faced down on my Versa Mark pad and the put Iridescent Ice on it and set with the Heat Tool again. I used my Crop-A-Dile to punch the holes in the scallops. The heart stamp is from A Happy Heart stamp set. I stamped Riding Hood Red ink on Whisper White Cardstock, then cut it out. The {Feb. 14} stamp is from the same stamp set.
I hope you enjoyed my projects for the day! Questions? Comments? I'd love to hear them.
