What a beautiful weekend we are having here in the St. Louis area. It is chilly but the sun is shining! Today I am sharing with you a card I made with the Need for Speed stamp set from Stampin'Up! The sentiment came from Up, up and Away. I used the 1 - 1/4 Scallop Circle punch for the clouds along with a sponge dauber.
Whisper White cardstock 3-1/4 x 3-3/4
Cherry Cobbler cardstock 3-1/2 x 4
Island Indigo cardbase 8-1/2 x 5-1/2, scored at 4-1/4
All of the items I used are available at my online store: www.cmhollingsworth.stampinup.net
Also I just posted a video of me making this card on YouTube. Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6K1ZyCwlBWM&feature=youtube_gdata
Hope you enjoy the video! I love making them for you :)

SU Stars Fall & Halloween Blog Hop
Hi and welcome to my post for this weekends Stampin'Up! Stars Fall & Halloween Blog Hop 2012! If you are arriving here from Krafting
with Karen www.kraftingwithkaren.blogspot.com then you are at the second stop on the hop! If you missed her beautiful creations, then click the above link and head back. Please take a few minutes to leave comments on everyone's blogs. We really do appreciate your kind words!
I have been hard at work during this year's busy craft fair season. Below are a few of the projects I have completed and sold at local craft fairs.
First up I have a really festive gift you can take your hostess when you come over for a delightful holiday visit. I really love this thick striped ribbon that Stampin'Up! no longer carries, boo, but I have a ton of it for my own person use! I simply cut a long strip of the ribbon and threaded my wine glass charms that I made with the Gently Falling stamp set and our Watercolor Pencils on Shrinky Dink paper. I used Stampin'Up! circle punch, paper piercer and heat gun. The wine glass charms are quick and make a very thoughful gift that is also easy to personalize with initials or anything else that you want to stamp on them!
Here is a closer picture of the wine glass charms.
I made a few more goodies for the local craft fairs including the Double Pouch Tea Bag Holder, Halloween candy sticks, and Mummy Gum Wrapper.
Last but certainly not least are the adorable witches broom sticks I made! I found chocolate licorice and put it in our skinny bags and tied it up pretty for a quick little Halloween treat for the kids. I hope you have enjoyed seeing what I have been up to.
BLOG CANDY ALERT!
Please take a few minutes to leave a comment and I will give away one set of my Wine Glass Charms along with some beautiful ribbon to tie on your own wine bottle! I will give you until Monday morning to leave a comment, then I will randomly have the computer select a winner. Good Luck!
Thanks so much for stopping by and keep on the Blog Hop going to

Stampin'Up! Stars ~ Stampin' Spaces Blog Hop
Hi, and welcome to my blog! Today I am joining the Stampin' Up! Stars Stampin' Spaces Blog Hop! I am very excited that you have made it here from Jayne's blog: http://www.jaynestamps.com/2012/02/blog-hop-stamping-spaces.html she has a really wonderful set up for creating beautiful handstamped projects.
I have to tell you that I shot a video of me walking around telling you about my stampin' area. It turned out pretty long, so I thought I would do pictures for now to get my post ready to share, but I promise I am going to edit that video down so I can post it for you to see as well.
In this corner is where I store alot of my Stampin' Up! supplies! I have my ink shelf, organized by family, ribbon dowels in the middle and reinkers at the top along with VersaInk and Stazon pads. To the right are my towel rods from IKEA that are overflowing with punches! I do need to pick up a few more next time I am close to one. In the boxes below my inkpad shelf are embellishments, adhesives, markers, embossing powders, and more. I really love these little drawers because you can organize alot into them without taking up alot of space. That pile of paper on my desk are scraps that I need to file away, but haven't gotten around to yet ;)
So moving clockwise around the room you will see several paper racks. The first one holds my In Color papers, the next one holds all my 12 x 12 cardstock, the third holds odds and ends of pieces I need to clean out! On the black shelf I have buttons in jars, items to alter and decorate, my stampin' wheels, unfinished projects and the bottom shelf is full of paper kits that need to be put together into scrapbook pages. The shorter black shelf holds most of my clear mount stamp sets and some current wood mounted ones that I haven't put back into my storage cabinet.
Next I have my cabinet that holds stamps, more stuff to alter, scrapbooks, photos, and whatever else I am forgetting about. On top of it I have my extra Clear Mount stamp cases. I found that awesome 12 x 12 paper rack on Craigslist and have all of my current Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper on it! On the white shelf to the right I have photos of friends, family, projects I have made this past year for classes, craft fairs and teacher gifts. I also keep my old catalogs on the bottom shelf, because you never know when you might want to look something up.
The next photo shows the middle area of the room where I have two tables set up that I do most of my work on. I have two other tables that I can set up to fit 12 - 14 people total in for classes and workshops. My Big Shot sets on a rolling utility cart that I found at Sam's Club. Underneath I have my Big Shot Dies, Textured Embossing folders, Sizzlits and Embosslits stored. It has big wheels that make it easy to push around on the carpeted floors.
On this wall I have a big wood frame that a friend's husband built with chicken wire on it. I bought a bunch of small clothes pins at one of those big box craft stores and pin my card up on it. Right now I have mostly Sale A Bration swaps, and Occasion Mini swap cards on it. I also have a bathroom down here so no one has to climb the stairs to use the restroom. I also keep some of the newest products on a table displayed for customers to look at. I was trying to get everything cleaned up so my Stampin' Space would be somewhat presentable ;)
I hope you have enjoyed checking out where I stamp! I have been stamping for 10 years now and have been a demonstrator for almost 4 years. I really enjoy the creativity that I get from stamping in my room. ~Charlotte

I have been busy this weekend working on new projects. This adorable new stamp set from Stampin'Up! is called Somebunny and it is so stinkin' cute! I stamped this cute little bunny girl with Chocolate Chip Classic ink and colored her in using Blender pens. I used Lucky Limeade ink & cardstock, Blushing Bride ink & pleated ribbon, More Mustard ink and Bashful Blue ink. I gave the Crumb Cake 3 x 3 card base a spritz with Blushing Bride Spritz Spray. The flower accent is made with the Newsprint DSP and an Antique Brad. I L-O-V-E how beautifully this all came together. I hope you enjoy and have a great day!

Countdown to Halloween ~ Day 4 Scrapbook Layout
Good evening! It has been a crazy day around here! I don't have my computer with me, so I am doing the best I can to keep working on my blog for the 10 Day Countdown to Halloween!
So I found some pictures of a Halloween scrapbook layout that I made 3 years ago. Some of the elements have changed in the Stampin'Up! catalog since then, but many of them are still the same! Here's how I made Frankie:
Old Olive Top Note; Basic Grey Round Tab punch for the "ears"; not sure of the circle punch size for the hair, guessing 1-3/8" Circle punch in Going Grey (retired color) I used my small paper snips scissors to freehand his bangs; Whisper White 3/4" circle punch (2) , Going Grey 1/2" circle punch (2), Old Olive 3/4" circle punch (1 cut in half and raised with a dimensional), then I free handed a grumpy smiley with my Basic Black marker.
On the other page I used the Big Shot Scallop Circle Die #113468 to make the "hills" in the graveyard. The tag I used for the tombstones is retired. I used the tree stamp from Season of Friendship #111776. I also sponged the "hills" with Silver Encore ink that Stampin'Up! used to sell. The bats in this project are retired, but we do have some other Halloween sets that you can get something similar in, they are Spooky Bingo Bits, and Wicked Cool in the Idea Book & Catalog, the annual catalog or in the Holiday Mini Catalog there are a few sets that would work out nice as well. They are Howl-o-ween Creeps or Out on a Limb.
Hope that has been helpful in figuring out what I used! Have a great weekend and I will hopefully post Day 5 before midnight tomorrow!

Pick Your Poison Halloween MDS scrapbook page
Welcome to the SU Stars Scrappin' Blog Hop! If you are just starting the hop make sure you go back and check out Connie Smith's blog at: www.highdesertstamp er.com to see what wonderful projects she has created for the hop! There are 20 blogs for this all weekend hop, so sit back, relax and enjoy!
I haven't scrapbooked anything in a while, so the challenge this month of scrapbooking something was well overdue! Halloween is sneaking up on us and before you know it all of those little trick or treaters will be at our doors wanting candy! I decided to used my Stampin'Up! My Digital Studio to create this page. The background paper is from the Pick Your Poison Designer Series Paper download. The flourish you see behind some of the photos is from Baroque Motifs and the little spider hanging from the journaling box is from the Eat, Drink and Be Scary download.
What I really love about using MDS is that you can move your different elements around without cutting paper and decide what layout you like best. I hope you enjoyed my scrapbook page!
Next on the SU Stars Scrappin' Blog Hop is Jackie Watson's blog http://jackielwatso n.blogspot. com . I am sure she created something really special to share with you as well!
Have a great weekend!

Berry Blossoms ~Thank you so, so much card
I cut the flower pieces out on my Fun Flowers Bigz L Die with the Big Shot die cutting machine. I then crumpled them up into a ball and repeated until the fibers in the paper were broke down enough that I could separate the flower piece into 2 separate layers. This technique is called faux suede when you have the raw, inside part of the flower exposed. I mounted the layers together with dimensionals and I think it turned out great! I really like the Berry Blossoms DSP and hope to share more projects made with it soon!
Products I used:
122350 Berry Blossoms Designer Series Paper
122652 Delightful Dozen stamp set
121045 Basic Black Cardstock
101179 Basic Black Classic Ink
122926 Lucky Limeade Cardstock
122925 Calypso Coral Cardstock
122922 Wisteria Wonder Cardstock
122940 In Color Designer Printed Brads
104430 Stampin' Dimensionals
104332 SNAIL Adhesive
117649 Pinking Hearts Border Punch
119873 3/4" Circle Punch
121812 Fun Flowers Bigz L Die
Hope you enjoy my project today! Have a great one and keep Stampin'!

Back in Business?
The summer storms have not been kind to my house. We had a great vacation to Disney World in June and came home to storms and a flooded basement! My stamping room is the "blue room" in the basement. After everything dried out the carpet has to be replaced in the blue room so hubby told me to set up shop in the rest of the basement! I was pleasantly SHOCKED that he would give me this option, I think he just wants his garage and dining room back, that's where everything from the basement went after the flood damage.
Punch rails are the only thing left in the room. |
Picture of my Stamp Room after they vaccumed some of the water out of it. |
Part of my stash in the main room of the basement. It was not flooded all the way like my room was. |
My cubes and more in the garage. |
My desk, bookshelf and cabinet. |
My reorganization in the basement so far. It has been alot of work and I will post more pictures soon. Have a great day! Charlotte |
