Back in Business?

The summer storms have not been kind to my house.  We had a great vacation to Disney World in June and came home to storms and a flooded basement! My stamping room is the "blue room" in the basement.  After everything dried out the carpet has to be replaced in the blue room so hubby told me to set up shop in the rest of the basement! I was pleasantly SHOCKED that he would give me this option, I think he just wants his garage and dining room back, that's where everything from the basement went after the flood damage.
Punch rails are the only thing left in the room.
Picture of my Stamp Room after they vaccumed some of the water out of it.

Part of my stash in the main room of the basement.  It was not
flooded all the way like my room was.

My cubes and more in the garage.

My desk, bookshelf and cabinet.
My reorganization in the basement so far.  It has been alot of work and I will post more pictures soon.

Have a great day!

Going, going, gone #2 - Tart & Tangy

Today I wanted to share some samples of another retiring stamp set called Tart & Tangy #111514 for $12.95.  I made these cards as a customer a few years ago at a Stampin'Up! workshop.  I really loved these cards so much that I have held onto a few of them for ideas.  This set includes cherries, strawberry, apple and a citrus fruit.

Tart & Tangy is a really cute set and I will miss it!  Hope you are having a nice weekend!

Last Day of School Teacher Gifts

Today I wanted to share with you some of the Teacher Gifts I gave to the rest of Tommy's Teachers.  I made three more notebook tins with coordinating Thank You cards.
The first Notebook Tin is using the Greenhouse Gala Designer Series paper that it on the retired list!

By the way, the products retiring from the 2010-11 Stampin'Up! Idea Book & Catalog are now available for final purchase thru June 30th!  I recommend you order what you want early, especially the accessories, they sell out fast!

The second tin with the flowers has a cute card made with the new Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch!  I really love this punch and will share more on it soon!

The final tin is decorated with the Greenhouse Gala Designer Series paper.  I really love how bright and cheery the inside of this one turned out!  I used the Friends Never Fade stamp set that coordinates beautifully with the Greenhouse Gala paper, can you tell that I really like this paper? LOL...

I hope to share more with you soon!

Recess! School is almost out and it is time to play!

School is almost out for the Summer Break and I am excited to share one of the teachers gifts I made up for Tommy's Speech teacher! When we moved from Colorado last Summer I was really worried about Tommy starting at a new school. But I was so excited when I found out that a previous customer and friend would be his Speech Therapist at school! What a blessing she has been to our family this school year! I am just praying that she will be at our school next year to continue working with Tommy and his little sister Paige who is starting Kindergarten! Hmm... what will I be doing alot more of this Fall? Stamping of course!

So I created this fun little scene using the new stamp set Recess from the Summer Mini Catalog! I really love all the techniques you can do with the brayer! It is especially fun to create landscapes and backgrounds to stamp on!  On this card I brayered the background with Marina Mist in the sky and Garden Green for the ground.  I took the tree from the Nature Silhouettes stamp set in the big Stampin'Up! catalog.  I chose the sentiment from Full of Life, also found in the Big Cattie ;)  Other products I used:
  • 119882  Scallop Edge border punch
  • 120906  2 1/2" Circle punch
  • Whisper White Cardstock
  • Real Red CS, ink pad, marker
  • Marina Mist CS, ink pad
  • Chocolate Chip CS, ink pad, marker
  • Daffodil Delight CS, ink pad, marker
  • Blender pen
  • Brayer
The next Teachers Gift I made was this Notebook Tin on the left.  I really love the sentiment that I stamped from the Word Play stamp set, "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams"! Love that! I used Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper, Baja Breeze cardstock and ink to decorate this tin, along with the coordinating stamp set Friends Never Fade, found in the Big Catalog.
On the inside of the Notebook Tin is a notepad, pen and storage for little notes, coupons, postage stamps, etc.  I really love how this project turned out.
Last but certainly not least is the adorable hand santizer I made! I used a retired stamp set for the A+ and the apples stamped across the bottom.  I used the following supplies:
  • Real Red cardstock, ink pad, marker
  • Garden Green cardstock, ink pad, marker
  • Whisper White cardstock
  • 119275  Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch
  • 119861 1-1/4" Circle punch
  • 119860  1-3/8" Circle punch

Sail Away with me!

As some of you know I like to brayer my cards and here are three cards from the Sail Away stamp in the new Summer Mini.

This first card I used the masking technique to get that sun in the sky and then brayered Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and Not Quite Navy for the sky and water.  I really love the new Baker's Twine, it comes in three colors: Early Express/White, Cherry Cobbler/White and White.

I also used The Open Sea stamp set from the new Summer Mini catalog!  I love the anchor, the compass and everything else from this wonderful new set!  We also have new Designer Series paper that coordinates with this set called Nautical Expedition.

I hope to sit down and play with this set again soon!  I have some pictures from our trip to Hawaii a few years ago that would be great to use it with.

I hope you enjoy my projects!  I am very happy to share them with you ;)

Pedestal Cards for Teacher's Gifts

Paige's last day of preschool was on Thursday.  She was sad to leave her classmates and teachers behind!  I took my camera in when I dropped her off and took pictures of her with each teacher and brought back these cute pedestal cards later that afternoon.

I started out with one of my favorite new stamp sets from the Stampin'Up! Summer Mini catalog called Flower Fest!  It is such a happy and beautiful set ;)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Square Lattice Shamrock card

This was quick and easy card to make today! First I punched out 14 small hearts in Garden Green cardstock, 2 of those were used for stem pieces. I stamped the Lucky Shamrock stamp from the 2011 Occasions Mini catalog with Garden Green Classic Ink onto Whisper White cardstock and punched it out with the 1 3/4" Circle punch and layered it on a 2 3/8" Scallop circle punch. I used snail to adhere it to the Whisper White and ran it through my Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  This smashes everything into a beautiful thin layer, a really cool effect! Then I adhered it onto a Garden Green card base.  It took less than 5 minutes to make!
