Daddys Girl Canvas

Wow, I had too much fun making this canvas of my dear hubby and sweetheart daughter!  Fred took Paige to the Daddy Daughter Dance a few months ago and I finally finished up the canvas to share with you and hang up in Paige's room ;)

Basketfull of Bunnies

The kids start Spring Break tomorrow so I had to hurry up and get these guys made up yesterday so there would be enough for both classes!  Tommy's classmates and some of his teachers received the Top Note Bunny Treat Bags.  I filled them with Robin's Eggs malt balls & marshmallow ducks and bunnies that I found at the Comissary.  His 2nd grade classmates really love when I send in something special for them, plus I like to give one to the nurse and the secretaries as well ;)

Now for Paige's preschool class I wanted to make something a little different, so I made these little bunny sliders for her classmates.  Here's the dimensions: 3 1/2" x 7" Very Vanilla paper. Score at 3/4", 3 1/4", 4", 6 1/2". Stick box together with snail or red sticky tape. Use Crop o dile to punch hole for ribbon. Stick 16" ribbon thru front hole and back hole.  Insert candy box into "bunny" thru its top opening, even out ribbon and tie in a bow or knot, trim the ends and it should pull up and down easily.

Bunny Sliders

Last but certainly not least is my little sweetheart Paige who is proudly showing off her Bunny Sliders before we went to school this morning.

Hope you enjoyed some of our Easter treats we shared with friends today.

Stampin'Up! Stars ABC Blog Hop ~Altered Canvas

Welcome to the Stampin'Up! Stars ABC Blog Hop! You may wonder what ABC stands for, well it means Anything But a Card.  So I racked my brain to figure out what should I make... then it hit me, girl, how many canvases do you have sitting in the craft room ready to alter!  More than I should put in writing, because if the hubby only knew some of what was still in boxes from our move last summer he might have a cow! LOL

So before I show you what I made, I just want to quickly reference the previous stop on the Stampin'Up! Stars ABC Blog Hop, it is Mary Campbell's blog: http://mimitojett.blogspot.com , so if you found your way here thru somewhere else, be sure to back up and see what she created special just for this weekends hop ;)  Or you can start from the beginning at http://su-stars.blogspot.com/ !

Anyways, on with the show! I really love to create these canvases with our wonderful Stampin'Up! products! That being said, I didn't actually use any stamps!  I know it is outrageous that I would dare not use them, but I used plenty of other awesome products that you can purchase directly from me at my demonstrator website: http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/cmhollingsworth/ .
First off I have to tell you how much I love the family in the photo, they are not my family, but they are good friends that we left behind when we moved here from Colorado last summer. My kids and those kids love each other so much that it is almost sicky-sweet!

I started with a blank 12 x12 canvas from the craft store and an 8 x 10 photo.  I chose the new designer series paper called Paisley Petal Prints, available only thru April 30th and then again in the new Idea Book & Catalog from Stampin'Up! this summer!  I will give you the details on that later, or click on the link on your right with the Spring is Blossoming promo on it.  Next I went thru my stash of acrylic pants and picked out a nice blue color that I thought coordinated with the paper well and painted it on my canvas.  Then I adhered the designer paper and trimmed down my picture a bit and adhered them along with the cut out flowers from another sheet of paper from the Paisley Petal Prints.  Other products used include Beveled Windowpanes, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding, On Board Chipboard and mini glue dots.

I hope you have enjoyed stopping by my blog! Please leave a comment or email me directly if you have any questions or would like to place an order.  Have a great weekend ;)
